Imagine if we all stopped reinventing the toilet! We’d have the luxury of still using a hole in the ground! This recipe is that futile, yet inevitable, quest for perfection.Using the OG Oatmeal Stout recipe the Shop has had for years, I’ve tweaked it slightly to accentuate the creamy flavours from the OG Oatmeal Stout. The extra Rolled Oats, addition of Gladfield’s Big O, and use of Lallemand’s Nottingham yeast, gives the recipe extra creaminess. My Store Phosphoric Acid 85% 500ml
Phosphoric acid (AKA orthophosphoric acid or H3PO4) is a mineral inorganic acid that can be used as a non-foaming/non-rinse sanitiser when diluted to water to a concentration of 1mL/2L. Phosphoric acid is also an excellent chemical to use when passivating stainless steel. This formula is also great at adjusting the pH of Sparge water and your Mash pH. If you prefer to use the traditional pH adjusting ingredients we would suggest Acidulated Malt or our Lactic Acid 88%. Phosphoric acid can also be completely metabilised by yeast and will also act as a yeast nutrient if it ends up in your fermenter.

Gladfield Pilsner Malt Gladfield
Gladfield Pilsner malt is made from 2 row English and European bred barley varieties. Only plump low protein barley is used which allows for higher extract potential and helps eliminate potential protein haze issues in the beer. The plumpness and even germination along with low protein gives highly friable malt and care must be taken not to over crush. Protein modification is kept relatively low with out compromising overall quality of the malt. These attributes?? make Gladfield Pilsner malt well suited for craft brewing, the lower protein modification improves mouth feel and head retention. Carefully controlled kilning gives a nice malty character with out too much colour. Gladfield Pilsner malt has sufficient diastatic power to convert the addition of 10-20% coloured malts but it is not designed for large amounts of un-malted adjuncts. It is important that mash pH is controlled properly to obtain the best efficiencies and desired outcomes. Gladfield Pilsner malt has sufficient diastatic power to convert the addition of 10-20% coloured malts, however it is not designed for large amounts of un-malted adjunct. Bestmalz Pilsner Malt per kg
Pilsner malt, the basis of pale lager, is quite pale and strongly flavored. Invented in the 1840s, Pilsner malt is the lightest-colored generally available malt, and also carries a strong, sweet malt flavor. Usually a pale lager's grain bill consists entirely of this malt, which has enough enzymatic power to be used as a base malt. The commercial desirability of light-colored beers has also led to some British brewers adopting Pilsner malt (sometimes described simply as "lager malt" in Britain) in creating golden ales. In Germany, Pilsner malt is also used in some interpretations of the K?lsch style. Our house pilsner malt is Gladfield Pilsner.

The Hop + Grain Pomona's Orchard Hazy IPA - Extract Recipe Kit
Like nectar of the gods, this tantalising IPA pays homage to Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and the brewers’ yeast that bears her name. These are followed by a heavenly blend of tropical fruit and citrus flavours and a whisper of berries. Silky smooth with a gentle sweetness, Pomona cultivates a well-rounded IPA that balances a burst of flavours with a creamy texture and subtle undertones of warm spice. Recipe contains Prechers Hefewheat, Light Malt Extract, Flavour Booster, Citra hops, Mosaic Hops Golden Naked Oats and Pomona Yeast This is a 23l recipe for our 25 litre fermentors or any other 25 litre vessel.
