Today however, as other higher alpha acid varieties have become more prevalent, it is now more prominently used for its aroma. Galaxy is probably the most famous hop in Australia. I’m willing to bet that every pale ale (9/10 at least) uses Galaxy in Australia. It is an absolute powerhouse. My inspiration for this beer was born out of using the Norwegian yeast Kveik (pronounced Ka-wi-k) and the lovey fruit flavours and esters it produces. This beer really shows how a hop and yeast pairing can complement one another. The potency of the Kviek, balanced by the potency of the Galaxy. This is a beauty of a beer and if you’re learning the ins and outs of recipe development, I highly recommend this recipe to help you understand the tastes of both. Cheers Our all-grain kits are our own tried and tested recipes for classic and modern beer styles. Included in the kit are all the ingredients needed to make beer using a standard BIAB (Brew in a Bag) setup such as our BIAB Starter kit, or your preferred equipment such as a Grainfather.
